Thunder Bay, ON ---   June 10, 2010 --– In front of a crowd of 1070 screaming Thunder Bay Chillfans at Chapples Park, the Thunder Bay Chill secured a 4-0 win in their home opener against the Springfield Demize. Gustavo Oliviera led the way with three assists, while Stephen Paterson backstopped the team for his second shutout of the season.

The Chill scored within seconds of the opening whistle, as Nolan Intermoia assisted an Andrew Marinez goal in the 2nd minute. Oliviera began his night by assisting a Brandon Swartzendruber  goal in the 22nd minute, and playing set-up man for two goals by Nolan Intermoia in the 25th, and 49th minutes.

"We got off to a good start, and controlled most of the game," stated Chill head coach Tony Colistro. Forward Brandon Swartzendruber was less pleased with the teams' performance stating; "We did well, but we did not have a complete game. We didn’t have a solid ninety minutes, and there is definitely room to improve."

The two teams face-off in the second game of the series tomorrow, Friday, June 11th, at Chapples Park, kicking-off at 7:30 p.m. (EDT).
